The PCE-PCO 1 air quality particle counter draws air into the measurement chamber with its 2.83 L/min air inlet vacuum pump. The measurement chamber has a laser probe which identifies and counts air particles, classifying them according to size. The device tracks the number of particles in each of the particle size groupings: 0.3-0.5um, 05-1.0um, 1.0-2.5um, 2.5-5.0um, 5.0-10.0um, and 10.0-25.0um, and displays the count on the console.
